Students cultivate their God-given creative talents through involvement
in theoretical and practical aspects of theatre arts. Training
includes application of Christian values to artistic expression.
Our progressive arts training program
is among the finest in the United States. Theatre students attract
scouts from leading undergraduate schools and have earned scholarships
and advanced placements at their selected colleges. Diverse curriculum
and a fully equipped theatre facility provide students with hands-on
experience in all aspects of theatre production including performance,
costumes, properties, lighting, sound and production management.
Three full-scale productions, ranging from classical to contemporary,
are attended by thousands of people each year. Theatre and professionals
regularly participate in productions to mentor students and raise
the performance level of the entire cast and production team.

How to get involved:
Volunteers play an important role in how our theatre works. How
can you get involved? Take a look! If you are interested in any
of the following ways that you can help, please email Cathy McFall .
· Public Relations: We need to reach people about our shows! You
can help by putting up posters at your workplace, church, or anywhere
else that might reach a potential audience member. Or help out by
designing handbills for person to person publicity. Our goal is
to expand our audiences to help our program grow.
· Box Office: We need volunteers to run the box office throughout
the run of a show. These volunteers are asked to be here one hour
prior to show time.
· Concessions: All of our concessions profits go directly to the
Arts programs, but we need volunteers to run the concessions window
during performances.

Supporting Valley Christian Theatre:
In our beautiful new facility, we have incredible opportunities
for each and every one of our students to learn and be enriched
in the Theatre Arts; however, we also have many unfinished projects,
such as our incredible fly tower. We have the space, now we need
the materials! This, along with many other very essential items,
cannot be completed without you. All donations are tax deductible
and go directly toward building our program. For more information

Interested in our matinees?
As a Bay Area high school striving to keep the arts alive in young
people, we feel it is imperative that our community schools work
together in maintaining a high level of education in the fine arts
and one way is by exposing students to neighboring theatre programs.
As such, we would like to invite surrounding schools and their students
to come see our special School Matinee, which is offered for every
show on the Tuesday or Wednesday morning after the opening weekend
at 10:00 a.m. Tickets to this exclusive student matinee performance
are only $5.00 per student, with one chaperone admitted free of
charge for every ten students.
